This Constitutional Amendment will be on the November 2010 ballot and would provide constitutional protection to our right to vote anonymously.

Official Ballot Language:
“All elections, including elections under state or federal law for public office, on an initiative or referendum, or to designate or authorize employee representation or individual representation, shall be by secret ballot.”

Why is this important now?

Some organizations and individuals are working overtime to eliminate the right of secret voting for American working men and women. This amendment will revise Utah’s Constitution to protect one of our most fundamental and essential freedoms, and this protection will apply to groups like unions, and issues like card check, that seek to deny secret ballots.

What can you do now?

  • Ask candidates where they stand on this issue
  • Let them know you care about keeping your ballot private
  • Tell friends and family this is an issue on the ballot
